There is a hard line in the sand between work life and home life. joelduggan on March 30, 2016 at 12:44 pm My kitchen is clean. My studio is not. MInTheGap on June 14, 2016 at 12:22 pm Just caught up. Like the comic and your art. Like the arc with the Barista. Would create a lot of tension if they both ended up working in the same place! joelduggan on June 14, 2016 at 12:35 pm Thanks! I’m glad you’re enjoying the comic. The Super Cute Barista is definitely one of my favorite dynamics to play with. I wish I had more time to write longer arcs with her. There are definitely ideas bouncing around in my head for her next employment opportunity… My time lately has been tapped on another project. If you like my stuff, check out the work of Piper Thibodeau. ForgePublishing.com. You’ll probably enjoy her daily updates on Instagram too! StephenESC on September 28, 2016 at 9:56 pm Finally! The boys and I literally just caught up. Nothing like fishing off Starcrossed right before bed. ;) joelduggan on September 29, 2016 at 9:41 am Nice! Hope they enjoyed the new comics. Only… one-hundred-ish more strips to go before Volume 2. :P StephenESC on September 30, 2016 at 10:53 am Oh, they loved them. ? It’s interesting, I never really-really thought about how long it would take to build up enough comics for a book until you you mentioned it. That’s a pretty impressive collection of work there. FYI, the boys really like the barista too. ? joelduggan on October 3, 2016 at 10:35 am Thanks! I wish it was faster. Over the years talking with a number of creators on Comics Coast to Coast I sometimes wish I had chosen a style that was faster to draw for Starcrossed. Even after years, I’ve only ever been able to get the time it takes to make a strip down to 6 hours. Even weekly has been hard (See also; not happening) to keep up. The barista is a cutie! dougloss on January 31, 2017 at 9:04 am We just passed 10 months since the last comic. Is Starcrossed still a going concern? Just curious if continuing to check for new material will eventually be rewarded. joelduggan on January 31, 2017 at 9:54 am Hi Doug – I am planning on drawing new strips. The press lately has been on the time to do so. I was just thinking about how long it has been the other day when Brian Dunaway referred to me as “Joel from Starcrossed” on the Comics Coast to Coast podcast. All of my studio time has been focused on Piper Thibodeau’s new art book, Daily Paintings, which I am publishing. Once that is off my plate and at the printers, the plan is to return to drawing Starcrossed, at least once a month. When I do post a new comic I always share it on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Tumblr. So, pick your social media poison and you won’t miss a beat. Thanks for the note! :) Mr. Chaotic on July 14, 2017 at 8:38 am I have now just caught up and am loving it! 😎 Are you going to continue soon? joelduggan on July 18, 2017 at 3:24 pm Thanks so much for taking the time to dive through the comic archive. I’m really glad you like the strip. I’ve tackled the return to Starcrossed a few different times throughout the comments on the most recent set of strips. Short answer is yes, I am planning on returning to the strip. Long answer is that plan is still forming. My time is going to free up a bit more in about two weeks. So I am hoping for an August 2017 return to the drawing table. Mr. Chaotic on July 19, 2017 at 8:44 am yay! Mr. Chaotic on February 8, 2018 at 3:39 am @joelduggan:disqus still waiting… xD joelduggan on February 10, 2018 at 6:00 pm Wait no longer! New comic going up on Monday. Apologies ahead of time if you’re a patron as I am going to be updating the Patreon page and it may result in multiple “update” emails. Thanks for keeping your eye out for new work!
