I read Bugmartini religiously everyday and came to see his guest comic! I just finished your entire archive and it’s wicked awesome!! Thanks to Adam, I have a new comic to follow religiously :D Keep up the good work :)
Wow Simon! Thanks so much for the kind words on Starcrossed. I’m really happy you like the strip. I’m planning on releasing more Starcrossed content, behind the scenes, and special features if time allows this year. Stay tuned! In the mean time, feel free to tell everyone you know about the strip!
I most certainly will! (You now have french canadian fans :) )
Yay! Oh hey, speaking of French Canadians, if you don’t know about it, you really need to check out Boumeries. Samantha (Boum) draws a wicked funny journal comic in both English and French! I interviewed her on Comics Coast to Coast Episode 169 last year.
Okay, I read the hidden text and guffawed.
Gotta love Adam. You can dress him up, but let him loose on the internet, and look out. Actually, I’m not even sure we can dress him up…
Same as Simon, came across Starcrossed by following Adam’s amazing strip.
After reading the entire archive, i honestly say i hate you, for now i have a new comic to anxiously wait for new content every day.. >_>
Great work, in both writing and art style!
Thanks so much John! I work really hard at the writing, pacing and the art. I really appreciate you noticing the structure underneath the fancy inks.
I hope you get really really famous, cause you deserve it! it’s one of the more entertaining comics i’ve read (not an avid reader, mind you, but have read quite a few start to finish).
Is it weird that i can relate to both Charlie and Sam at times? :))
PS: I was thinking “this comic needs a crazy character!” just 2-3 strips before you introduced Nigel, so you’re definitely in tune!
I also appreciate the dedication it takes to answer every single comment, you’re a nice guy, Joel! :)
I totally know what you mean about identifying with Charlie and Sam. Actually, I identify with Nigel too, only he gets to do what I sometimes wish I could do in real life. Originally, Sam was supposed to be a bit more of a “bad boy” but as the strip gained readers, and Sam became more popular and his character developed naturally, it was clear he was too adorable to be the one to get slapped.
Oh, wow! I just finished reading this after I found the Bug link to it (yes, I’m late, no, I don’t care), and I’m really hooked on it. Soooo.. is there any chance at all of him hooking up with the cute (former) barrista?
Thanks so much Cuddlewolf! I’m glad Starcrosed has you hooked like an episode of something on The CW. There’s always a chance of Charlie and the SCB getting together. Then, there’s always a chance it will hail in Texas. I guess you’ll just have to keep reading. < See what I did there?
I second Simon, above; found you through BugMartini, and delighted by your site. Very delighted indeed.
Mr. Hat. Many thanks! I am delighted that you are delighted.
Good… everything is going according to plan.
I was so delighted, in fact, that I just spent the entire morning reading your entire archive. Sure, I was in pain and unable to do anything else — but I INSIST it was an excellent use of my time.
I’ll be sure to pelt you with currency at the first opportunity.
Gotta say, this comic is addicting. Hats off to Huber for finding this gem
Thanks Tony. Glad you like it!
Adam sent me this way and I’m glad he did. I read through your entire archive and now I have another comic to follow. Joel, your comic is awesome and I am in love with your characters! Keep the funny awesome coming please! And now you have a fan all the way in the Caribbean! :)
Thanks Isis! That’s really flattering. The Caribbean!? Very cool.
Yup, Trinidad and Tobago to be exact. Woot!
I even know where that is! I had a classmate in university from T & T.
